Why Do I Read?

I wouldn't necessarily say I'm reading for "fun" because when I'm reading I'm not having "fun" I just enjoy it. I think you can enjoy something without having fun, you just do it because you like it. Which is why I read, because I like it. I think I like reading because each character is different and each book is different. I especially like book series because you can get to really know the characters and in a way get attached to them.

            I always know when I’ve found a really good book because I can’t stop reading it. If I can bear to put the book down to do something else then it’s probably not that interesting and I’m not going to want to finish it. Reading should be something you like and if you’re reading a book you don’t like then why even read it? Reading can also be an escape or a distraction. If you’re stresses about something just pick up a good book and focus all of your attention on that “world” and those characters. Books are such an adventure, even the less adventurous books, because you never know what’s going to happen next.
